Planning a trip to Arches National Park in 2025? You’ll need a timed entry reservation, in addition to your parks pass!

Reservations are required for visitors wishing to enter the park between 7 am and 4 pm daily, from April 1 to July 6 and from August 28 to October 31. No timed entry reservation is required from July 7 to August 27.

Previously, there were booking windows for specific calendar dates - but not this year! Timed entry reservations are available six months in advance of your trip date starting at 8 am MST.

Reservation Fee is a flat $2.00 per vehicle. Visitors can modify or cancel their tickets until the start time on the ticket, however, ticket is non-refundable. Visit Recreation.gov to book your reservation.

Keep in mind, the park is open 24 hours so you can always enter the park before 7 am and after 4 pm, without a reservation!

Timed entry reservations for Glacier National Park in Montana will continue in 2025. The park will require a vehicle reservation for the west side of the very popular Going-to-the-Sun Road and North Fork area.

Reservations will be required from June 13 to September 28, 2025, daily between 7 A.M. and 3 P.M

You can make reservations starting on February 12, 2025 via recreation.govon a rolling basis, 120 days in advance of desired visitation dates, starting at 8 A.M. MST. Any remaining vehicle reservations will be available at 7 P.M. MDT for next-day entry for dates throughout the season starting on June 12, 2025. Reservations require a flat $2 processing fee.

Note that I=if you have a reservation for lodging, camping, transportation, or a commercial activity, you can access the park within the intended service area of Going-To-The-Sun Road without making a timed-entry reservation as long as you can show proof of that booking.

If you are unable to obtain a vehicle reservation, you can enter the park before 7 A.M. or after 3 P.M. Or take your chances and enter the park through the eastern entrance of Going-To-The-Sun Road. Just remember that access might be restricted due to overcrowding on the road.

Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado utilizes a two-tiered reservation system to mitigate the crowds. Reservations will be required beginning May 23 through Oct. 14 or Oct 20 (depending on the specific reservation you get, see below)

Bear Lake Road Corridor: This will include access to the popular Bear Lake Corridor as well as the rest of the park. Reservations are required from 5 A.M to 6 P.M effective May 23, 2025 to October 20, 2025. Bear Lake Road is home to the popular Bear Lake trailhead that includes Nymph and Dream Lake, so this reservation tends to sell out as soon as they are released.

“The rest of the park,”: This excludes Bear Lake corridor and reservations are required from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M effective May 23, 2025 to October 14, 2025.

Booking Windows:

Reservations are released one month prior to the desired visitation date.

• May 1 at 8AM MST – for reservations from May 24 – June 30

• June 1 at 8AM MST – for reservations in the month of July and any remaining days that have not been booked for June.

• July 1 at 8AM MST – for reservations in the month of August and any remaining days that have not been booked for July

• August 1 at 8AM MST – for reservations in the month of September and any remaining days that have not been booked for August.

• September 1 at 8AM MST – for reservations in the month of October and any remaining days that have not been booked for September.

Zion National Park in Utah will require reservations to hike the popular Angels Landing. No timed entry Vehicle reservations will be required to enter the park, only to hike this specific trail due to popularity.

This is a lottery system, which is released on a rolling basis starting Jan. 1. Permits are needed every day and at all times. The seasonal lottery application occurs quarterly (see dates on recreation.gov) and additional permits are made available through the Day-before lottery for those who were not selected in the seasonal lottery.

It is a flat $6 fee to enter the lottery, and you can submit for 7 different days for a group of up to 6 people. If selected, each permit costs an additional $3 per person.
