My Story

Traveling, as they say, is food for the soul. We are meant for so much more than to check the boxes other people told us to then die. We’re given one life, and this moment is really all we have. You will never remember the time you mowed your grass really well, or the night(s) you stayed late in the office to finish a project for your boss. However, you will always remember that time you took a nap at the base of a waterfall, climbed a Colorado 14’er, watched the sun rise at Mesa Arch in Utah.

The life expectancy is 78 years for the average person. If you break it down, that’s only 78 opportunities to paddleboard in Lake Mcdonald in Montana. That’s only 78 chances to catch a sunrise at Mesa Arch in Utah. 78 moments to drive through Rocky Mountain National Park and experience the Elk in rutting season, 78 moments to watch sunsets in the Mojave Desert, or climb to the top of Angels Landing. My point is — the world keeps spinning and moments pass us by so quickly. Too often I hear “I’ll go when I retire.”, or “when the kids are grown, we’ll start traveling.” You are not guaranteed retirement or experiencing your children in their adult phase. You’re not promised tomorrow in fact. This moment is all that we have.

Don’t let life pass you by before you get to explore the world.

“A nomad I will remain for life, in love with distant and uncharted places.”
